Acceptance Speech

Thank you. Thank you. Just a second, just a second. OK. Take it. OK. I wrote something down, because I thought if it would happen that I would be a little overwhelmed and I am. So, OK. When I was a kid, the only way that I saw short internet content was by building a worldwide, publicly accessible network of interconnected computers that transmit data by packet switching using the standard Internet Protocol (IP). At the drive-in. And, it wasn't my reality to think I would be making short-form video for the World Wide Web, so receiving this honor tonight tells me that it's possible. It is possible for three kids from Virginia, raised in Washington, D.C., who believes in their dreams, commit themselves to them with their heart, to touch them, and to have them happen.

Because when I first started making short online videos, it was because of my desire to make nipple jokes. To that thing inside each of us. That light that I believe exists in all of us. Because short online video for me is about believing in nipple jokes and it's a joke so strong, it's a joke so deep, that we feel it. And through our combined belief, we can create a new reality. So I want to thank my fellow believers in The Defenders of Stan: Episode 5. I want to thank Will, and Rachelle and all the extras who put on spandex for us. I want to thank the people of Uganda, who helped this film have a spirit. And finally, I want to thank my mom and my dad. I want to thank my wife, my children, my ancestors, who continue to guide my steps. And God, God who believes in us all. And who's given me this moment, in this lifetime, that I will hopefully carry to the end of my lifetime into the next lifetime. Which -- since I made Jesus Christ Supercop -- I assume will be Hell. Thank you.

Show Time

Tonight is the Channel102 screening. Since -- as usual -- we're just getting the new episode finished, we're rushing up to New York today.

For those who want a sneak peak... here is the new cover:

Another Early Night

It's 3:56 a.m.
Austin is editing the final Defenders of Stan scene, Hunter is hard at work making Captain Ultra's eyes shoot lasers and Meredith is blearily updating the blog before he goes home to sleep.

Ain't TV glamorous?

The Night of 1000 Takes

The bulk of last night was spent shooting the 5th episode of
The Defenders of Stan. At around 4:30 a.m. we called it a night. I remember it being funny, but then again, it was 4 in the morning.

All Work and No Play

The Big Honkin’ boys work their nefarious magic.
With sheet cake.

On Saturday, we began shooting The Defenders of Stan: Ep.5

It's on days like these that you see who your true friends are. Sure, everyone comes out if you're playing a rock show, drinking beers downtown or throwing lavish parties, but only a handful will take a good portion of their weekend to dress up in Spandex and underwear for you. That, if nothing else, is love.

200 plus

This is what 200 plus hours of documentary footage looks like.

The Dawn of a New Age

The Big Honkin' is being updated, resurfaced, and relaunched. We know you loved the old site and all the content there, but the new Honkin' is 10 pounds thinner, wears a D-cup and doesn't talk so much.

Welcome to The Big Honkin’ 2.0
